Kansas State originated way back in 1863 during the Civil War! In fact, Kansas St. is the oldest public University in Kansas. When Kansas State had their first class sessions back in 1863 they were only the second public college to enroll men and women equally! Their first class consisted of 26 men and 26 women. Considering the vast history of KSU tradition and alumni loyalty is considered a sacred trait amongst fans.
